John Kane: Pilgrims of Woodstock, a Multi-Media Presentation
Date: 08/14/2019
Time: 5:00 pm-6:15 pm
John Kane offers a vivid and intimate portrait of the young people from across the country who gathered on hundreds of acres of farmland in upstate New York for three days of music. Never-before-seen photographs taken by Richard Bellak, then an aspiring photojournalist, and new interviews by Kane capture profoundly personal moments as more than 400,000 people spent three days together, helping one another, congregating around campfires, cooking at night, and coexisting in harmony. A cultural historian, Kane is on the faculty at the New Hampshire Institute of Art.
