The Norfolk Conservation Commission presents “Insects: The Power and The Glory,” an illustrated talk by Susannah Wood, chair of the Commission. Insects are tiny, and not so tiny, crucial actors in the complex ecosystems that sustain all life on earth. As pollinators and recyclers; as predators and prey, they inhabit our planet from the Himalayas to Antarctica in ways remarkable and ingenious. Some are immediately beautiful to us, some a bit alarming, others pesky, but all are worth understanding. Worldwide, insects are in big trouble, and that means we are, too. Please register below for this program, scheduled on the eve of Endangered Species Day.
