Art Opening Reception: Christopher Little ~ High and the Mighty
Date: 08/04/2019
Time: 4:00 pm-6:00 pm
Christopher Little’s show Norfolk: High and the Mighty features a collection of photographs made in the last year. Little writes: “High presents color images of familiar village scenes. The photographs are aerials and are rendered in the “miniature style”—think model railroad. The Mighty, in black and white, depicts your friends and neighbors photographed in the Hollywood glamour-style of the 1930s and 1940s. I credit my inspiration to George Hurrell (1904-1992), the former MGM studio photographer who went on to shoot iconic images as a freelancer.” Little worked as a photojournalist for many years before turning to fiction. His debut novel, Ever So Silent: An Emma Thorne Mystery, is available on Amazon and at the Library. Please join us for the opening reception for the artist on Sunday, August 4, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., graciously hosted by the Library Associates.
