Two One Act Plays: Saturday Performance

Join us for the world premiere of two one-act plays, written and directed by Norfolk residents Marinell Crippen and Sara Heller at the Norfolk Library on Saturday and Sunday, February 25-26, WIN Weekend. Both plays are cast entirely with Norfolk residents.

Let’s Play by Marinell Crippen is set in the early 1970’s. It’s about young girls’ friendships as they navigate difficult situations. These kids are funny, honest, playful, and sometimes tough in the ways they interact with each other.

Barren by Sara Heller is the story of a woman’s choice to be a surrogate. It is a reflection on how this woman’s complicated relationship with her own mother contributed to this choice and how the loving but brief relationships brought forth by the surrogacy changed her life forever.

These plays are meant for audiences preteen and up. Masks are encouraged but not required. Please register here. The only spaces left are those that require sitting on the floor!
