Indigenous Peoples’ Day Books & Boots: Celebrating Indigenous Poetry

In honor of Indigenous Peoples’ Day this year, the Norfolk Library, the Norfolk Land Trust, and the Norfolk Church of Christ invite you to attend a Books & Boots program at 9:00am, Monday, October 9, at Dennis Hill State Park. We will meet at the pavilion to read together several pre-selected poems by Indigenous poets and then walk the Dennis Hill Gazebo loop as we meditate on the readings and commemorate the day. There is no need to read anything ahead of time. Registration is appreciated.

Just under 2 miles, the Gazebo Loop is a low impact hike perfect for hikers of all abilities. Please dress appropriately for the weather.
