Fuego Sonoro will perform at the Norfolk Library on Sunday, May 26, at 4:30 p.m. Featuring Jonathan Greene on clarinet, Brian Melick on percussion, Jon Suters on guitar, and special guest Ken Olsen on trombone, these talented jazz musicians play 1950s-era Latin music— bossa novas, Brazilian choros, Caribbean rhumbas and calypsos. The band spices up familiar melodies and rhythms with improvisation to create a fresh, yet still classic sound. From lively and spicy to sweet and nostalgic, this is Brazilian music at its best. Registration is requested, but not required.
