Art Opening Reception: Lisa Hamilton
Date: 05/05/2024
Time: 4:00 pm-6:00 pm
Paintings by Norfolk resident Lisa Hamilton will be on display at the Norfolk Library during the month of May in an exhibit entitled Under a Lilac Sky. Her work invites viewers into a realm where color is the universal language. She utilizes color and pattern to investigate how the perception of space is constructed and to reveal the dynamic nature of visual understanding. Hamilton received her MFA from Hunter College and her BFA from The Cooper Union. She has exhibited throughout the United States and Japan. She received a NYFA artist grant for painting and has participated in residencies such as MacDowell, Yaddo, and the Atlantic Center for the Arts, and the Vermont Studio Center. Please join us for a reception for the artist on Sunday, May 5, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., graciously hosted by the Library Associates. Thank you for your support!
