The Library offers a variety of devices to meet your technological needs. We have devices that you can use at the Library and devices that you can check out.
In-house Devices
2 Desktop Computers
Reserve for 1-hour intervals. Any individual using the Norfolk Library’s computer workstations must sign a Library Computer Usage and Internet Safety Policy. Anyone using a computer in the Library is required to act in a manner consistent with the Library’s Computer Usage and Internet Safety Policy.
2 HP laptops, 1 MacBook, and 2 iPads
Please see Front Desk Circulation to request use of one of these devices. Any individual using the Norfolk Library’s mobile devices must sign a Library Computer Usage and Internet Safety Policy. Anyone using a mobile device in the Library is required to act in a manner consistent with the Library’s Computer Usage and Internet Safety Policy.
Circulating Devices
3 Mobile Hotspots
- Norfolk Library home residency required
- 14 days circulation
- Nonrenewable, unless you contact the Circulation Desk and there’s not a waiting list
- Only one can circulate per household
- Copy of driver’s license or government-issued ID upon first check out
- Signed User Agreement required for checkout
- Overdue fees $10/day
- $10 fine for returning to the book drop
- Staff have a right to refuse circulation if the account is not in good standing
- If hotspots are not returned, library privileges are suspended and patrons are fined $90 cost of replacement. Civil/criminal action may be taken for failure to pay fine.
2 ipads
- Norfolk Library home residency required
- 7 days circulation
- Renewable one time
- Only one can circulate per household
- Copy of driver’s license or government-issued ID upon first check out
- Signed User Agreement required for checkout
- Overdue fees $10/day
- $10 fine for returning to the book drop
