Summer Special Event: Science Heroes presents Adventure of the Missing Color

The Norfolk Library is delighted to announce our Summer Reading Program theme this year is COLOR OUR WORLD. We invite children and families to meander down a path of art and creativity, embracing various ways we can “color our world” through art, nature, science, and movement. Special thematic events have been scheduled for Monday evenings to which all are welcome.

Please join us for the Kick Off Special Event as Science Heroes presents Adventure of the Missing Color. Through hands-on experiments and fun, interactive stories, children will learn about scientists who have used art and design to color our world. A delicious treat will be served!

The Summer Reading program runs for 7 weeks from June 16 to July 28 with special events on Monday evenings, generously sponsored by the Library Associates. Specially designed by artist Erika Crofut, whimsical reading logs will be given to children with fun challenges to help them maintain and enhance their literacy skills and to foster a love of reading. The special events are free and open to all Norfolk-area families.
