Norfolk Library Cookbook Group: Madhur Jaffrey

For our September gathering, we will focus on Madhur Jaffrey: cookbook author, travel writer, and television personality. Jaffrey is recognized for bringing Indian cuisine to the western hemisphere with her debut cookbook An Invitation to Indian Cooking (1973). A selection of her cookbooks is available at the library.

Remember to bring your dish ready to serve on a plate in small portions and any needed serving utensils. Bring your own beverage if you’d like. Led by avid cookbook collector Barry Webber, the Cookbook Group meets monthly with each meeting focused on a different cookbook or regional cuisine.

Taking our cue from the Massachusetts Potluck Events Advisory, a potluck may occur as long as the participants are aware that neither the food nor the facilities have been inspected by the state or by a local public health agency.
