Norfolk Library Cookbook Group: David Tanis
For our April gathering, David Tanis takes center stage. He writes a monthly cooking column for The New York Times and is the author of several cookbooks that feature seasonal cooking.
Remember to bring your dish ready to serve on a plate in small portions and any needed serving utensils. Bring your own beverage if you’d like. Led by avid cookbook collector Barry Webber, the Cookbook Group meets monthly with each meeting focused on a different cookbook or regional cuisine.
Taking our cue from the Massachusetts Potluck Events Advisory, a potluck may occur as long as the participants are aware that neither the food nor the facilities have been inspected by the state or by a local public health agency. If you would like to learn more about food safety, the USDA offers a helpful resource booklet called Cooking for Groups: A Volunteer’s Guide for Food Safety. You can read the booklet here.
