Norfolk Library Book Group with Mark Scarbrough: Johanna Sinisalo, Troll: A Love Story (2000)

Continuing his theme of books by Finnish authors, Mark has selected Troll: A Love Story (2000) by Johanna Sinisalo for the next meeting of the Book Group. An enchanting novel that has become an international sensation, Troll is a fanciful tale of a fairy-tale animal who reveals the beast in ourselves. Praised by readers and critics alike, Sinisalo has won several literary prizes, among them the Finlandia Prize, Finland’s most prestigious literary award. Her works have been translated into nineteen languages.
