Art Exhibition: Susannah Anderson
Susannah Anderson is a Norfolk-based artist whose current work explores the dialectic between control and freedom. In acrylic paintings that range in size from 4 inches to 6.5. feet, Susannah draws from a constellation of sources—figures, nature, domestic and industrial scenes—and invites viewers to step into environments uncertain. Each painting is an offer to look closely, to wonder, to question. Susannah holds a BFA from Philadelphia’s erstwhile University of the Arts. She has had her work shown in Seattle, Richmond, Salisbury, and regularly with Norfolk Artists and Friends. For 30 years a professional scenic artist, she has contributed to work on stage and screen across the world, and beyond, including the Isle of Berk at Universal’s Epic Universe, and Romeo and Juliet at Hartford Stage.
Susannah’s paintings will be on display through October 29.
