Games: Blocks, Magna-tiles, and Dominoes to name a few
Pretend play: Puppet theater, play kitchen, and turret

On Mondays, kindergarteners, 1st and 2nd graders get off the bus after school (around 3:45 pm) and participate in Merry Makers Story Time with Miss Eileen. Parents should pick up their child at 4:45 pm. Children will get a healthy snack! Story Times run for 8 weeks, and registration is required before the start of the program. Bus passes are necessary for the child to ride the bus to the Library.

On Wednesdays, children 0-5 join us in the Children's Room for Books and Bubbles, a 30-minute story time with stories, songs, and crafts to help build early literacy skills. Feel free to stay and play afterward to build a positive library habit.

Program dates are posted on the Events page. Please don’t hesitate to call Children’s Services Librarian Eileen Fitzgibbons at 860-542-5075 with questions or reach her by email at efitzgibbons@biblio.org.

Corner Club events during the school year can be found here. Children ages 5-12 are invited to participate.

Children may take a bus from Botelle Elementary and they must be picked up by 5:00pm. Paper registration forms are available at the Library and will also be passed out at Botelle. Registration forms must be received by Miss Eileen, the Children’s Librarian, before a child can attend. These programs are on the same schedule as Botelle, so there is no Corner Club if there is no school. Please feel free to contact Eileen Fitzgibbons with any questions at efitzgibbons@biblio.org.

Getting your child involved in a summer reading program is important! Studies have shown that children who participate in summer reading programs develop better literacy skills. We want your children to retain all the success they have achieved during the year and have FUN in the summer. Our science and art-based summer reading program is geared towards children from ages 5 to 13 years old. If your child is a little younger or older than this range, please join in if you wish.

Any questions? Please email Miss Eileen at efitzgibbons@biblio.org.

Stay tuned for our Summer Reading Kick-off Party and the All Together Monday Programs @ 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. beginning in June. Registration will be required for programs with limited numbers!
