Norfolk Activities
Campbell Falls State Park
Located west of Route 272 North, about five miles north of the town center. It is a picturesque spot for a stroll and picnic.
Dennis Hill State Park
Travel south on Route 272 South to find this park with hiking, picnicking, cross-country skiing, and a panoramic view of three states.
Haystack Mountain State Park
Located on Route 272 North, just north of the village, it has hiking and picnicking and a great view when you climb the tower at the top.
Freedom Trail
The gravestone of James Mars, located to the rear and left of the first entrance to the Center Cemetery, Old Colony Road, is part of the Connecticut freedom Trail. A former slave, Mars helped organize meetings to promote freedom for slaves and to improve conditions for free African-Americans.
Little Red Schoolhouse
The North Middle School, built in 1827, closed in 1922. and restored in 1961, is located on Ashpohtag Road. For information, please call the Norfolk Historical Society at 860-542-5761.
Norfolk Chamber Music Festival
Renowned as a center for chamber music performances and professional study, the Festival features up to 50 performances by many of the world's most celebrated musical artists as well as the brightest of the new generation of musicians. Norfolk Historical Museum
Located in the 1840 Norfolk Academy building on the southeast side of the Village Green. The Museum houses a large collection of Norfolk memorabilia. Open Sat. & Sun. 1-4 from Memorial Day to Columbus Day, or by appointment. Telephone: 860-542-5761.

Wood Creek Pond
Travel north on Route 272 North and then turn right at Ashpohtag Road to find this shallow pond with a State boat launch. It is a popular boating and fishing spot.
