In An Evening with Sandra Cisneros, four small community libraries in Northwest Connecticut, the Hotchkiss Library of Sharon, Kent Memorial Library, the Norfolk Library, and Scoville Memorial come together to host the iconic author of The House on Mango Street. The conversation is moderated by Maria Acosta Cruz, PhD, of Clark University, and Ms. Cisneros answers questions from the virtual audience of young and old fans alike, including her most important advice to be a successful bilingual writer, how many drafts she went through with The House on Mango Street, and how the ants who invade her shower are nothing short of inspiration for her writing!
